While at the University of Edinburgh, Dr Simeon Ximian Xu was Duncan Forrester Fellow, a joint fellowship at the Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities and the School of Divinity’s Centre for Theology and Public Issues

A native of China, Simeon came to study theology at the University of Edinburgh in 2013. He was successively awarded Master of Divinity (First Class Honour) in 2016, Master of Theology (Distinction) in 2017, and Doctor of Philosophy in 2020. His monograph, ‘The Digitalised Image of God: Artificial Intelligence, Liturgy, and Ethics’ came out in October 2024. He is married with two daughters.

Steven Scott is the founder and Creative Director of TwoFifths Design, a brand, website and animation studio in Edinburgh. He works with public sector, research, university and third sector organisations across Scotland, and has been a Squarespace Circle partner since 2018.
