Ismini Mathioudaki
Ismini Nikoleta Mathioudaki is a postdoctoral researcher on the Infralegalities project at the University of Edinburgh. She holds degrees in Political Science and History (Panteion University of Athens) and Law (Université Paris Nanterre), as well as an LLM in Public International Law from the University of Amsterdam. She is currently a post-doctorate researcher at the Infralegalities project, at the University of Edinburgh, and has conducted doctoral research at the Scuola Normale Superiore in Florence and has been a visiting researcher at the Oxford Internet Institute. Her research explores the socio-legal implications of digital border control technologies and their effects on human rights, with particular focus on non-refoulement and asylum, and she examines the gap between the stated objectives and real-world operation of such infrastructure. Ismini has contributed to international research projects including the ERC-funded EURO-EXPERT project, UNHCR’s Rights Mapping and Analysis Platform (RiMAP), and Durham University’s GLiTCH project. She is a member of the Athens Bar Association. She is a member of the Athens Bar Association.
