Cliodhna plans to work with LGBTQ+ people to learn more about the harms they face regarding the representation of their voice in voice data collection and voice technologies, with a view to designing systems and processes that are better suited to their needs.

Brittany is a PhD student in Linguistics, working on metapragmatics and the imitation of languages/ways of speaking. In particular, she applies sociolinguistic frameworks to written mock language in internet memes.
