Charlotte Bird

Charlotte’s PhD research project is Ethical AI and Computational Creativity in Human Creative Spaces. It is co-supervised in the College of Art and the School of Philosophy, Psychology & Language Sciences.

Charlotte received her MSc in Computer Science from Newcastle University, with a thesis focusing on neural nets. Previous to this she completed a BA in Literature, with a focus in morality and ethics in children's literature. Charlotte spent the year prior to the PhD working as a data analyst. Charlotte's work will focus on AI ethics in creative spaces, such as the interdisciplinary discussions about computational creativity as a tool for enhancing AI ethics, generative models, and human-algorithm collaboration.
